It is with both sadness and sense of pride that we officially announce the retirement of our long standing club president, Russell Wood. 

Russell began his long career with the club as a proud parent watching his son Tyler and daughter Allie.  His soccer knowledge and enthusiasm for the game made him a great candidate for coaching.  Over the past 6 seasons he has taken his team from a rambunctious group of giggling girls to a well skilled D1 squad of athletes.  Along the way he has also spent many hundreds of hours working to make our club great.

Russell joined the Hilton Heat Board of Directors back in 2004.  Along the way he has been instrumental in evolving our organization from being 19 separate “teams” into one unified club.  Russell has been the driving force behind the creation of a cohesive winter practice program and the development of a skills training program for the youth teams. Additionally, he is credited with streamlining many of our business practices and the strengthening of ties to other community groups.
 
Ethan Spelman has been newly elected by the Board of Directors to the position of club President.  Ethan has spent the last year as both a coach and Vice President of operations.  His was instrumental in pulling together our first annual chicken BBQ and has been very active in helping to shape our financial future.
 
Please join the board in thanking Russell for his dedicated service to our community and to welcome Ethan to the leadership position of our club.

The Hilton Heat Board of Directors has set the date for the 2012 Just for Kicks Tournament for June 1 - June 3, 2012
